The production process can be a demanding process, more so than people are expecting. Even though contributors should have received psychological assessments prior to participating in the production, it can never be 100% predicted how an individual will respond whilst under the environmental stressors of participating in a production, especially productions which require a complete environmental change such as a reality TV production requiring periods of time away from real life.

At pre-production assessment stage, I will attempt to ascertain how much support an individual will require throughout filming, however this may change depending on how they respond to the environment and also depending on who the other contributors of the production are. In constructed situations which are designed for entertainment, there are many factors which could be distressing for the contributor meaning that they may require additional support.
